So Im looking for new interior pieces... Im kinda **** about things matching (front & back), so the race seats arnt an option... so my question is... do I have to find interior from a fox only or will other yrs work as well?

Front you can use any year. Back you have to use fox body specific.

 

So then Ill still have an issue w/ matching Im guessing...blah!
I found someting on American Muscle's site...At first I thought it was the seats themselves... but further reading I noticed only the upholstery? Anyone have any thoughts of this or know of anyone who has tried it?

Pretty much stick to Fox Mustang parts for similar years if you want everything to match and look correct. IIRC, for the aero Foxes it would be something like '87-'89 and '90-'93 (or roughly when Ford had the driver's side air bag added to the Mustang). Of course, there are interior parts that were the same across the entire '87-'93 run so if you need those, it shouldn't be a problem.

 

If you are installing a black interior, (more expensive to obtain parts) you are pretty much able to use any year from 87-93, model specific (hatch, notch, 'vert).

If you want to use grey, then you must use year specific for all items, as Ford changed the coloring. 93 grey is not the same as 92, which is different from 88.

I do not know all the specific breakdowns, but do some research on Mustang interior colors, and you should get the correct info to go with.
