Added another one to the collection.....Went with a friend for Thanksgiving and it ended up being a true one where I ended up saying "Thanks for giving me this car!" Turns out a relative had a son with this '85 GT sitting in the yard....wrecked it 2 years ago and bent the core support. Went over to look at it and he gave it to me FREE so I picked it up this morning

The engine is sick and it needs a general resto but it's solid...

I needed another project like a hole in the head but I miss the old '85 GT that I had years ago so I'll do this one up. We already mixed our own custom color this afternoon that I think I will paint it. Going to ditch the carb and go EFI with it.

Great find Paul!! I love the four-eyed Foxes, especially the '85 - '86 GT's. I used to have one and I'm dying to find another but so far I haven't found a decent one. Congrats on the excellent find and keep us posted!!

I would prefer not to have T tops but I can live with them...my old '85 that I used to have was a T top car as well...once you replace the weatherstrip and stop the leaks they aren't bad.

The engine is sick as in unhealthy....it has blowby. It has a lot of nice parts: MSD Distibutor, MDS Ignition Box, MSD Tach Adapter, MSD Blaster coil, Edelbrock Performer RPM intake and Edelbrock carb.....but those will go on the shelf as I plan to install an EFI engine into this one.

It's a street car...No cage...never! I will install the Kenny Brown Extreme Matrix kit for added chassis support. All the cars I build can go on the track if desired but the priority is to DRIVE them...no interfering cages....and when I do build a cage it is not by any rules like NHRA...it is done with the ease of access in mind. Everything I participate in is on a hobby level so the safety is there but I don't have to become Gumby to get into the car

haha, I have been wondering this and figure, you're the one to ask, so is their any other way besides subframe connectors and that big X brace that goes above the rear suspension to stiffen a chassis
(without a cage) and when people weld their torque boxes do they mean they are repairing them because they'v ebeen damaged or do they mean they reinforced them? thanks in advance
