Question '93 GT Fog light lens question.

Yeah for some reason my glass lens on my fog light came off, maybe from a bump or something. Luckily it didn't fall completely off and cracked on the ground, it was still hanging by something but when I went to observe it it ripped. It looked like some kind of seal. I was trying to put it back on and I can not figure out how the glass lens part stays attached to the backing cover. Is/was it attached by some sort of adhesive?

Thanks for the help!

Ahh yes... it happens and will happen to your other one too in time.

It was held on by adhesive that over time wears out. I lost one of mine on the highway... the other fell off while washing it.

Get some clear silicone from Home Depot or wherever and just put a bead around the backing and put the glass lens into it. It will hold forever that way.

I just replaced my fogs with new ones... but I'm sure the lenses will fall off again in time.

Awesome now I just need to get the top part of the backing into the little slit on the tab on top while the bottom is in place. For some reason it is being a pain in the butt to get the thing to snap in place with that weather stripping on the black plastic that holds the wires... but when its off I can get in on easily. The other fog light goes in easily WITH the weather stripping ON. I don't know what this ones problem is.

I actually had that happen to my rear driver side taillights... Its so frustrating because they are becoming really difficult to find replacements, so i had to use a damaged one (ugh).
