93 cobra questions, pleasee
hey guys, and girls
i got a couple questions for you.
I'm planning to buy a 93 cobra, now what is a good price i should pay for one. I ask cuz ive seen people on ebay asking 20000, and some sold with mods for 8000
is there any questions i should be asking people before the purchase? i know to ask obvious questions, but do these cars have any big problems, or costly problems, that have occured?
Thanks for any info i get

depends on what you are looking for. a low mileage original in good shape is going to get a good premium. 20K and up. even ones with alot of mileage are close to 10k. goto kbb.com and do a price for your area. and search on autotrader.com and see what kinds of prices are in your area. if you are willing to travel a little ways and might get a better deal
These have just about reach collector car status. By this i mean that a nice original car will cost a lot of money similar to '60s muscle cars. But if a car has been modded then the value drops a lot. You can see this taking place right now since the Barrett-Jackson auction is on tv. The original stock cars will draw in a lot more money than a car with a blower on it. As far as what to pay id say anything would be good but I wouldnt got too far about 20k for a pristene one.
As much as i love the foxbody cobras i just dont think theyre worth it. Maybe if you can afford to just buy one and let it sit in the garage, but to me it makes more sense to spend the money on one that you could drive without worrying too much about ruining its value. Just my two cents.

Actually from what I have seen on Barrett-Jackson the modified cars or recreations have been bringing in more money than the originals.
back on topic though, yes some owners are extremely proud of their 93 cobras and there are some people who are willing to pay the price that these people want. Look around through-out the U.S. and you will find some good buys. There seems to be a surplus of them in Texas and it seems that the average cost out there is usually around $8k
