If you have a hatchback. How do you do a fuel cell correctly?I mean theres no trunk,so wouldnt it be dangerous to have the cell in the back.It would be wide open to the drivers compartment.I cant see putting A barrier that would look stupid when the hatch is open........

you put it right on the floor in the trunk, thats what everyone else does. but it isnt reccommended for a street car.

You can buy a fuel cell that mounts where your factory gas tank mounted, and also uses the factory fill kneck. They made them for the cobra r's. Be prepared to come off some serious $$$ though. Most people do mount them in the trunk area, however it is not something I would do personally. Another thing I was looking at doing is having a round sumped cell made to fit the spare tire area. Then have a hole cut in it where the sump comes out of the bottom of the trunk pan so that your fuel lines would actually be outside of the car. It also seems like putting the fuel cell in the spare tire area, along with hold down straps would reduce the chance of it going anywhere. This would be a custom job though, and once again be prepared to spend alot of $$$.
