87 foxbody

I just got a 87 foxbody. Can anyone give me ideas on what I can buy for it? To add horse power.

Either way: a MAF conversion should be high on your list. Speed density is not friendly to any changes in air flow. :good

If that's your limit for now I would go with 3.73 or 4.10 gears in the rear end to give you better acceleration and like 91notch said maf conversion is a must before any big mods are made.

Thanks guys. Yeah I'm just kind of new to this mustang thing. I was going to buy one but my brother just gave me his instead. Its a 1987 mustang GT with the 5.0 and has complete 93 cobra body. It's completely stock I did get a BBK cold air intake for it though. Just want ideas on what can be done to these kind of cars.

No problem. After the MAF conversion replacing the heads, cam and intake along with a better flowing exhaust will give u more HP.

Yes sir! For a budget build: a gt40 setup is excellent. The build I'm in the middle of now consists is a gt40 build. Heads ported and polished and 5 angle valve job. Intake ported polished and gasket matched. And a B303 cam.

Nice, right now I'm building a 302 with ported an polished gt40 heads an intake with trickflow stage 1 cam. So far I'm only 500 in the hole an should be able to do it all under 1200.

Cool man! There are several "junkyard secrets" for the fox builder with not so deep pockets! :good
