83 mustang rockers loose!
I have an 83 mustang 5.0 that just had the motor rebuild (stock) about 5000 miles ago. I pulled the valve covers off today and noticed that the rockers (stock) are a little loose when the valve is closed. Is this normal? The block was decked .0010 but the heads were left alone. Two years ago I had two pushrods that were bent but I can't remember if it was the intake or exhaust sides. Is there any adjusting to the bolt down rockers? Also I'm running a complete EFI setup from a 95 GT. I guess it's not exactly stock but it does seem to run good with that setup. I appreciate any help I can get!

Moving to 'Fox Mustang' section, but will leave a link for a day . . .
Are the rockers torqued to the proper specifications? And what type of rocker arms do you have? Some are adjustable, stock ones are not . . . if memory serves.

if you dont hear a noise while it is running you are ok .. lifters will bleed off a bit when sitting even more so today with such thin oils cars use .. every time i start my toyota i hear hear every lifter click for a few seconds .. i hate that .. my 40 year stang does`nt do that

It has stock rockers and lifters. It has not been run for a couple years so im thinking maby the lifters are not pumped up? I don remember hearing any ticking the last time I had it running tho. Would a carb setup better for this non roller block? If so what carb and intake should I go with?
