I think you may also have to swap out the transmission crossmember for a "dual hump" version to accommodate the dual exhaust layout. I like Magnaflow, but whatever. IMO, Flowmasters and other chambered mufflers sound best with a H-pipe. Magnaflow, Dynomax, and other straight-through designs work nicely with a X-pipe. You want exhaust rumble? H-pipe combo all the way. Add turn-downs/dumps before the axle if you want the interior to shake too (reason why I removed mine). X-pipe combo has a somewhat raspier sound.
One of the nicest sounding Mustangs I've ever heard was a carbed, E-303 cammed, H-pipe/Flowmaster w/dumps setup. It wasn't really loud per se, but you could feel the rhythm of the exhaust pulses - almost like a drum.
