A friend of mine just got a 79 pace car that is probably a well done (needs work now) clone. Is there any way to verify if it was an actual Pace Car replica from the factory or a clone? I have looked at VIN decoders and don't see anything that would verify the Pace Car Replica option.

Try researching buck tags. There may be some pace car specific codes on it/them.

I think that my dad has a friend that has his old 79' pace car that lives in Denver metro.
