5speed conversion.. How hard is it?

I have a 88 gt I took in on trade, it runs good just needs a tranny. I'm going to wait til fall to do anything to it but I was going to do a 5 speed swap on it and I was wondering how hard a swap would be to do? Any and all info is greatly appreciated..

It actually isn't too hard of a swap to do, probably the toughest part is swapping out the pedals, I literally just did the swap in summer.

I did a 5 speed swap 15 years ago. Bought a complete donor car, swapped everything out, then resold the donor car. Other than my labor, it was basically free

I did the swap in my old 89' back when I was in High School. It's an intimidating job but in the end pretty easy. Worse part of it for me was having to do it on my back and not getting the car high enough. That and dropping the AOD on my oil pan used to catch the trans fluid, causing quite a mess I had no choice but to lay in lol.
