I have a 2.3l that is currently not running at the time.i have to push start it to grt it started.Anyway,i have a buddy of mine that has a 5.0 engine he wants to sell. The problem is that he is selling it with an auto tranny.Could i make my stock tranny from the 2.3 work with the 5.0 engine?

Is the 2.3 a T5? If so it can work with the right pilot bearing and a 5.0 bell house clutch and flywheel. The 2.3 t5 is weaker then the 5.0 ones so it probly wont last long.

Yes. The input shaft is longer on the sn95 t5 vs a fox t5.
