302 Block Identification?
ok, been doing research on my 93 LX...and it was not born with a 302...according to the VIN it was born with a 2.3L L4 FI OHV.
Fair nuff. Now that being said, I want to know what year, and vehicle the 302 came out of that is in my car. I am more familiar with identifying chevys so bare with me.
I assume there is a casting number on the block. Where to look, and can someone send me a link so I can research what we find out?

I just so happen to have what I assume is the original 302 block out of my 93 LX 5.0
These castings are on the passenger side just above the oil pan where the block meets the bell housing.
Mine is upside of course on the engine stand right now.
It says FISE
Below that appears to be 2 numbers I can't make out. Looks like 82
Then the other numbers that would face straight down to the ground say 3A22
On the opposite side is this

I do know there are differences in the wiring harness between some model years. If yours was a transplant it would be just as important to know what year did your harness come from.
There's a video that explains the differences and you can check to see what year it was. I'll have to find it.
