I am looking at purchasing a 1989 5.0 LX Mustang that is white in exterior color, red seats, and a red and blue dash (Red, White and Blue). Is there anything special about this car? Are there certain mustangs that were made in 89 that were a special tribute to the 25th Anniversary of the Mustang?
Any and all advice would be appreciated. If this is something special, I don't want to miss out on it.

As far as I know the only special thing about them is the pony emblem on the dash saying 25 years under the pony. My car is a 90 and has the 25 years pony emblem on the dash but everything else is the same as any other,

 

Yeah, Ford Blew it big time in not recognizing the 25 anniversary of the Mustang... This was it...

 

Yeah as far as "special editions" there was the '90 "7-Up" convertible (all of them were dark green with white tops) and then the '92-'93 red (with white pony wheels), white (with white pony wheels), and yellow (with chrome pony wheels) convertibles. Google "Fox Mustang special editions" and you can see them.

 

like stated 25th only has a badge on the dash just like the others, the only difference is they have 25th under the horse nothing else done to the car.
