1989 mustang motor help

1989 mustang motor help

Little info on the car its a 1989 mustang drop top 2.3 and I did a 5.0 swap started the swap and got a 5.0 motor and all the parts for the swap did all the work and got everything end and started on getting her start ended up the guy I got the motor from sold me a motor with a broke oil pump so I cut my loss with that motor because i didn't no if the rings were good and I found a motor for 300 from a 89 mustang 5.0 HO with around 150,000 miles put it worked great pulled like crazy (To me haha) drove it for about 6000 miles and my throw out bearing broke it broke because i had the wrong arm and messed my new clutch up so I changed everything put everything back end and had a motor knock thought it had to do with the clutch I just put end so took it out and reinstall everything with a new flywheel and still had knock posted the problem on ME and got a lot of info so I ended up taking the motor out and rebuild her took her out and take the oil pan off and the number 1 and 3 piston rod broke off and broke the oil pump rod and cracked the block so that motors scrap so I thinking should I part the car out and get a notchback the car I really wanted or rebuild the 1st I had ( cost around 600 for a good rebuild) does someone know if they

If someone sells a rebuild kit for the 5.0 HO and has use it or one someone used it and the other thing I was going to do is buy a rebuild motor for 600 from a shop know more craigslist motors for me haha but with that I trust my work more than a shop just because I dont know who did the work

I'm sure you can find a short block rotating assembly for pretty cheap. Rebuilt engine exchange places all over the place. Easiest way out. And put a descent cam in it before you put it all together.

Ok thank you is a 1986 block a good block to start a rebuild I no I'm going to Change the flat top pistons to forger with the valve RL so I can upgrade cam without valve clearance problems
