Anyone got a pic of a 84 1/2 Mustang GT...had one in HS, it had the squared off spoiler, not the rounded off one. Charcoal grey wit a black stripe on the hood.

I always wanted one of those 4-eyed stangs, just something that appeals to me about them...could never decide which color though. I will have one evetually to go with my 05/06 GT I hope to acquire, and my 92 GT

 

I always liked the four-eyed foxes. I still regret selling my 85 Saleen.

 

This guy that goes to my school has an 85 salleen, all black with gold and silver trim and decals. It's real clean but he drives it all year round maybe this is yours

 

A 1984 1/2 GT should not have had the square spoiler, that was on 1983 and earlier. 1984 and newer had the rounded spoiler as pictured in the gray GT in an earlier post.

 

Probably not, mine was sold to a guy in California, but then re-sold before the car was picked up to a couple from North Carolina, and it changed hands 5 or 6 times in that state since then....according to carfax.

 

That's exactly how his looks...changed hands that many times wow, I would never let it go if I had it. It's a beautiful car though, love it.

 

yeah, i had an 86 gt vert. wish i didnt sell it. the guy who bought it totalled it like 3 weeks later. will prob get a nice low low mileage one sometime in the future. that was my first car. and you know how you always remember your first car. would love to get an 86 saleen or like an 86 SVO

 

Not true... My first new Mustang was an '84 GT 5.0 (GT's also came with a turbo 4) ordered new in October '83 and took delivery in November '83. It had the squared off rear spoiler. (Dark charcoal same at the above pics, which brings back fond memories.)

Late '84s (spring '84) got the rounded spoiler.

I traded the '84 for my '85 (ordered new also), which also came with the same rounded spoiler.

That's exactly what the car looked like, even the color...all is exactly correct except for the rear spoiler...

SiHawk, you are correct, the early 84's had a squared off spoiler, as mine did...

Now I'm gonna have to get out all those old pictures and see if I can dig one up
