Tell me what yall think, please. I dont mind doing work on the car at all, but is the final bidding price going to be too much?

I obviously don't know what the final price will be, but the seller sounds like a jerk (using mild terms). Let's seee, apart from his rant about eating steaks:

He states body rust is virtually non-existent. Take a look at the pic of the back window. The rust on the left side is most likely more than just surface rust, looks like water got under the window seal.

He states the engine was recently rebuilt, but it needs carb work and the power steering leaks. Who would rebuild an engine and not bother to put on a fresh carb (new or rebuilt) and fix any leaks?

He states it has bad exterior paint. Judging from the rust on the rest of the car, I'd guess the paint was put on to cover bodywork and more rust.

Doesn't sound like a good deal any way you cut it. Anyhow, you're in Texas, if I were you I'd find a vehicle that spent its life in the south.

Alright, I'll stray away from that deal!

Thanks for keeping me from making a mistake

By the way... if Anyone happens to find a manual tranny 67/68 fastback for sale around my area (within Texas or south) please let me know!

"...the front fender has the Shelby cut in it. This car may have been on the line to be a Shelby but didn’t quite make it..."

Can someone 'splain this to me?

I would also love that car

does it have the deluxe interior?

If I had it I don't think I could sell it
I've always loved the 67-68 fastbacks but
I've wanted one like that ever since I saw bullitt.
