This is my first post in this section, and I would not even post here if I did not have a HUGE problem. I've replaced my wiring harness in my 66 stang with a painless system. The install went great. I've got juice all over the car. I can turn the Key and the car cranks but won't turn over and fire. I double and triple checked my wiring harness. I metered the harness at the coil. I have 12.3 volts there constantly. I have replaced the points with a Pertronix ignitor 2 module. The cap is new. the rotor is new. The plug wires are new. The plugs are new and gapped correctly. I had an Ignitor 2 in the car before I did the harness, and replaced it because I was not getting spark. I'm STILL not getting spark. My battery is brand new and fully charged. The gap is correct on the Pertronix unit. I'm running a fairly new coil. Before changing the ignition module, I swapped coils with a buddy of mine who litterally drove his car to my house before we swapped it. I THEN changed the ignition coil. Do you think i have a bad coil that could be killing ignition modules, or should I try and swap the coil again now that I have the new ignition module? Perhaps both were dead? I would appreciate any suggessions. :worship: :usa: I have not driven my car in 4 months now, and I am REALLY antsy! Thanks guys.

She's got gas in the gas tank. You thinking I need to drop a little in the carb to get it rolling? I'm going to double check the spark today with the new module. I'll let you guys know what I find.

ok Carl, gotta give ya props. The fuel pump wasn't primed, and so I had to use some gas in the carb to get things started. I now have spark AND she runs! WOO HOO! Still having some timing issues though. I think I may have the ignition module mounted too close. It feels like it's misfiring BADLY. Not sure what that's all about. Thanks for the tip!
