Wiring Harness

I just started working on a '72 Mach 1. I pulled out the wiring throughout the car and started going over it. I wanted to avoid purchasing a brand new aftermarket harness and rewiring the entire car, but it looks as though there is really no alternative (it's a mess). I'm curious on peoples experience with aftermarket wiring harnesses and what people would recomend. There are a lot of universal harnesses out there, but very few I have found that are car specific when it comes to Fords.
