Wipers question

When I turn off the wipers, a lot of times they stay on, if I reach under
the dash and unplug it they stop.
Would this be a problem with the motor or the switch?
Thanks in advance, Keith.

65 convertible.

I would think the switch. When in the off position no power should be going through it to the wiper motor.

Sounds like the switch to me too. The power comes through the switch, so it almost has to be the switch. Only other possibility would be a short to power on the circuit and that is rare.
