Value of 64 1/2 Convertible?

I am trying my best to determine what is a "good value" for a 64 1/2 D code convertible. Information is very limited and asking prices vary greatly. I believe the motor is true to the car but it was repainted (code mismatch) some time ago. The car runs and drives and is fair condition.

What would you pay?? Any Estimates?? Thanks a bunch. I'm hoping to buy it this week.

to me it would be an undesirable model .. it should have a 260 V8 i think with a 5 bolt bell housing ..if you simply like the style go up a year or two ...if you must have a 64 1/2 then go for it .. i cant advise on a price without a picture or two ..

Haha I know, it's a real pain! I'll try to find that listing in eBay for reference but my first thought was that any 60's model Mustang convertible that still runs well and is in decent shape will probably go for $12k. Good to know I'm not too far off! Thanks again!

What are they asking? Is it within your budget? Could you drive it a couple of years on nice days and get your money back? If it's what you want, BUY IT!

There is a classic car dealership in Clearwater, Fl I was checking out. One of the guys there was telling me if I'd never find a 60's mustang for under 10k. (Although he was wrong I got mine for 6k with some issues.). But then again the prices all seem to vary a lot depending on your location too.

classic car dealerships normally have inflated prices.

There are a couple dealers here in Clearwater and I'm pretty sure the one has mostly junk with pretty paint jobs. He is generally $20-$30k so I believe $12-$15k is more realistic. Haha.
