"Tuner" Lug Nuts?
Been looking at options to get rid of the one odd "locking" lugnut. The "tuner" lugs might be an option - What do they gain me??? Better appearance? Lighter wallet? Better lugwrench clearance?
20HP? Lose 30 lbs/30days?
Better bedroom life???
What about the chrome vs color options? Rice? :nono:

I would avoid the colored ones. These are really the WTG IMHO
They give you a significant increase in clearance between the wheels (that you paid all that money for) and the lug wrench that is just waiting to slip loose and score the wheel. I would not consider using anything else on my Coddingtons... then again I don't think a typical lug wrench would clear anyway.
I don't know for a fact but the Tuner lugs with the key provided might allow owners of the TT2s to use the provided center caps and not gouge them with the standard socket/lug wrench.
For others' reference, these are Tuner Lugs:

Downside might be if you lose the tool, however these are not keyed locking style so you can probably use a tool from another set or just buy a replacement tool.

What's a tuner lugnut?
I saw another interesting anti-theft technique for screw on centercaps like TT use.
These centercaps are held on by 5 machine screws. One particularly slick guy I know used 4 phillips heads and one flathead screw on each cap. Now the thief needs two different tools! Might just slow them down a bit.

My caps are held on by stainless allen-head screws - gotta keep an allen wrench, the McGard lock AND the valvecap tool all in the car!
The TT2 style caps are an absolute PITA for Ford applications. You have to remove the cap to access the lugs, as they hang over each lug hole by 1/8". I keep meaning to bring them in & kiss them with the mill, but the tuner lugs MIGHT solve that problem.

now THATS nice! Blingy AND functional, all at the same time!
