I don't mind the Nissan engine, since it's an inline six with a big whoopas$ factor. An engine that deserved a worthy chassis, like a Mustang. Maybe Ford could learn a thing or two there. And best of all, they didn't riced it, they maintained the interior and exterior as they should be.

Eh, as cool as the engine is, im not big on different makes swapping engines.

Besides, it still wasn't strong enough. The cars you see in the movies doing stunts and driving and drifting were not powered by this motor. They had 351 Windsor based motors because the I6 couldn't shred enough tire lol

If that was the case, then the mechanics weren't doing a good job. Those things can generate sick power w stock bottom ends. Here are some 240sx's w those engines and are awesome!

That did occur to me as well. But I would still rather see this puppy with a Ford engine in it.

If that is a GTR engine the mustang be AWD GTR engines came with an AWD tranny. The non GTR skylines were RWD. They were the RB25DET, this is a RB26DETT. So they must have swapped trannys out with the RB25.

It most certainly was not AWD. Even if the trans was designed for AWD, they could have disconnected the front driveshaft, like they did on the Evo in the movie. The Evo they used was a RWD conversion bec RWD is better for drifting.
