Time to fab up an inspection cover...
Picked up my transmission to block plate over the winter of eBay. Guy seemed to know what was up and was offering many different types for different combos. Of course I picked up the one for an AOD and know it looks like something went wrong in that process:

So instead of chasing the guy down and finding out he shipped me the wrong one and I need to pull everything and replace it... I'm just gonna make a posterboard template then cut/drill my own to fit.

Is that only the lower portion that is pictured, or does it go up further?

Mustang Owner Crushed to Death
Joe Schmoe, who recently purchased an older restored 67 Mustang convertible from Connecticut was crushed to death after becoming so frustrated at the many types of fasteners, he accidentally kicked the jackstand out from under the car when attempting to inspect his flexplate. It seems the previous owner installed an allenhead bolt instead of the standard 1/2 inch hexhead in the inspection cover. Mr. Schmoe, who had already become frustrated working around the Roob Goldberg exhaust design, had spent his entire morning climbing in and out from under the car to retrieve tools and parts. His last trip to the toolbox, he grabbed his 1/2 inch 3/8-drive socket, but when he manuevered his way back under the car, he found the allenhead bolt. This triggered Mr. Schmoe's epilepsy and he became symptomatic with seizures. Mr. Schmoe unfortunately kicked the jackstand and the car fell on him. He is survived by his ex-wife and assumed children.
