I'm thinking of lower in the mustang 1" using lowering springs and a shackel kit for the rear. Not sure how it would look. If you guys could post pics of your classic stangs you have already lowerd that would be great.

Here is a pic of the car now. Think it would look a little better a little lower?

Lowering these is not just for looks... there's a noticeable gain in handling when you get them down.

And it looks like you need to get the front down some more too.

Nice looking car Blake. Yeah there is the handling aspect of it too. Those are supposed to be stock springs in the car but when I put them in a year ago along with new leafs the car just looks way to high off the ground.

Well, you knew I'd be in here anyway.

Here's mine from some pics I took this weekend.

Stock height heavy duty rear springs w/ a 1" lowering block in the back. 1" drop 620# springs in the front.

Edit: You are probably seeing a red X where that pic used to be. Just click on the "old school" link in my sig. That'll take you to pics of my car.

On the garage wall. They only go on for long road trips. Don't think I'm kidding either. My friend and I got them on our way to L.A. on route 66. We weren't sure the check-point troopers at the California border were going to let us through with bull horns on a '94 Cobra Pace Car. :tex: This is a pic of my friend Mikey with the same set of horns on his '99 V6.

Half a coil off the front, and some 1" blocks would be a great start, and cheap to boot...

Oooooooh, that's cool right there.

I don't mean to scare you Cloney, but keep up that kind of personalization and it ain't gonna be a clone anymore.

I'm actually leaning toward making some changes... time for a freshening...

Besides, you don't know HOW MANY times I've watched soccer moms / other driver's mouth the words "What's a CLONE" to me or others in their car.

That's good to hear about the "freshening". With your ingenuity and propensity for documentation, this should be cool to watch.

LOL about the soccer moms. But do you really care what that demographic thinks about your car?

Thumbs up

Cool looking rides. Well I decide to do it . I just need to order the springs and the lowering blocks.

Is 620 springs the best way or just cut the ones I have?

620s are much better for the handling, and probably will keep you from having clearance problems
