I'm looking at the t-5 conversion for my car. It has an 85 302 w/C4. Will I need a new bellhousing?
Also, how much did the total run up to in the end for some of you all who've done the swap?

I can't answer the pricing question but YES you will need a new bellhousing because the manual transmission version is much different than the one for automatic.

You might want to check out Cloney's website for a nice writeup on his conversion and a list of parts you'll need.

My total was ~800.00, and that's prob about as cheap as you can go, unless someone just *gives* you the transmission. Ive been over it and can't think of any other way I could have done it more cheaply.

I ended up about $1700 total - that included rebuilding a T5, as well as some extra's, like the hydraulic clutch linkage, aluminum pedal pads, etc...
