Unhappy

I normally post in the 2005 Mustang section, since I love Mustang GT's and My dad has a V6. I have wanted to get out of my first car for months(1999 Honda Civic foor-door AUTO  ), but I now have a good chance of getting my way. I narrowed down my REALISTIC list of wanted cars to a new Mustang GT, a Datsun 240Z, or a 1965-1970 Mustang(especially the fastbacks ) All cars have Front engine Rear-wheel drive and NO RICER WINGS! The new Mustang would be a stretch and parts for Datsun Z's aren't quite as acessable. So the choices narrowed to a Golden Oldie Mustang!!!
I have started to look for 1965-1968 fastback in the area and I can't find one. My theories about the lack of fastbacks: people love the cars, and Unique Performance and Cheezy Replicar companies stealing all the 1967-1968 Fastbacks to make Shelby GT500E replicas.

Sure Eleanor, the star of Gone in Sixty Seconds is a beautiful car to watch and hear on the movie every other day( at least on TBS ). And sure its probably an awesome car to drive. There were 71,042 Mustang fastback made in 1967, and 42,581 Fastbacks made in 1968. Total 1967-68 fastbacks equals 113,623. Who knows how many have gone to the automotive heaven in the sky! Unique and other companies are buying them up, destroying the cars history, to convert them into Movie cars. Chip Foose, the GT500E designer, is amazing car designer using the classic Mustang Fastback and turning it into a awesome Shelby-ish raceccar-ish beauty. But Chip builds one off cars for his customers and probably didn't intend it for "Re-Production". The Eleanor cars are top shelf exotics, basically whole new cars, but when they sandblast and modify these Mustangs, they erase all the cars history!
I don't know if anyone shares the same opinion with me, but I feel it is what Unique Performance and others are doing is wrong! Maybe im insane.

Ooh anyone want to sell me a 1967-1968 Mustang Fastback!
