Security question
Alarm, ignition cutoff switch, fuel tank selector switch from a Ford van with 2 tanks wired in and hidden. Some people can get past an alarm. Some of those people will have no problem bypassing an ignition cutoff. Of those people, I imagine all of them are going to be scratching their heads when the car runs out of gas 2 blocks away.
Not much you can do about a flatbed or other tow truck theft. Just a sensitive alarm, and the knowlege that it'd be hard to hide a fastback with a flame job.
LoJack is on the want list as well.

If I broadcast them over the internet, they wouldn't be security measures, now would they???
As others have mentioned, lots of little tricks will slow the amateurs.
Nothing but insurance for the pros....

I can understand that....I remember hearing a story from one guy who was at a car show...their car was parked pretty close to the road entrance, and as they were shootin the breeze with others, a nice britny blue GT 500 casually drives up to and out of the entrance...no big rush, just as normal as could be..
10 minutes later a guy comes running up asking, 'did you see a blue GT500 go thru here?'...... 'yeah'.....'he just stole it.'

I took the cheap way out personally as I decided a would be thief is just going to get it if he wants it no matter what, especially a convertible. Since the accident theft is the least of my fears. I put a "green ****" on the negative ground which I can easily unscew and take with me (has a trickle flow though so it doesn't loose you radio pre-sets) and I made my own sticker that I printed out using the Lo-Jack logo from their website and adding "this car protected by" and put it on my window. Than I wired a flashy red light to the fuse box (also runs off the trickle) that I located in a visible spot. Not too many folks I think are willing to put LoJack to the test these days so I figured that was more than enough.
Total investment about $15.

I heard awhile back about a non-smoking guy who wired some sort of a kill switch into his lighter. Wanted the switch to engage, you had to push in the lighter. Who'd think of that?
