Most everyone with an opinion was saying:
" Mustangs will never be worth much because they made too many of them. "
As I window shop for a decent `69/`70 Mach 1, Oh how I really wish that were true.

You can hear the exact same comments today, that Mustangs like my 2012 gt will never be worth much because they made so many of them, even though they only make a small fraction of the number of cars they used to make in the 60s and early 70s. I think they are important cars and the future values will reflect that.

20 years ago was 1995. How much is a 1995 GT worth now? How about a V6?
There is a 1995 V6 car on eBay for $1,100 with no bids and a 1995 GT for $2,000 OBO. Who knows if these cars will be any more desirable so just love them today and don't expect them to be worth much in 20 years.

It`s really time I think to re-evaluate what it means to be a classic/antique car. I think we all can agree that back in 1995, that cars from 1970 & 1975 weren`t made as well, and generally werent expected to be around more than 5-7 years before being scrapped out. When those cars from that era ( and before ) reached 10, it was a rare exception.

That is true. I got my first Mustang, the '69, in late 1976. She was already very tired and rusty. Had about 98-99k miles.
My '06 still goes like a beast at over 136k miles. Mechanically and structurally a vastly superior car. Like night and day.
