Power Steering
I want to add power steering to my 67 stang, but am eventually going to swith out the 200 engine for a 289. Are the parts for the power steering the same, or am I going to have to buy all new stuff when I switch to the 289? Also, where is the best place to buy the parts?
Do you really need PS with a 200 in there? It's light enough that it's really not that hard to get by with MS. In fact I prefer the MS even with a 351W... the factory PS is anything but comfortable in my opinion... twitchy and a maintenance hassle not worth it.
How old are you? I had a '67 coupe when I was in High School (Class of '94)... drove that thing everyday year round in CT ... through snow and all. Had 4 wheel drums and manual everything. Was not tough at all.
I am 16, and I guess you are making me sound like I am kind of a wuse or something, haha. I guess I should weigh out whether I really need it, since I have only been driving it a week and am still getting used to it. My grandpa just seems to think it would be a good idea, so I was just trying to figure out wether the unit will still work when him and I do the engine swap.
Jazz, the positive thing about PS is easy steering at low speed. However, and this is a BIG however, they WILL leak. It's only a matter of time. With a 200 or a 289, keep the manual steering. Unless of course you upgrade to R&P...
Ok, I am sorry I am a noob, but I am here to learn...what is R&P?
Obviously by my age this is my first time restoring a Mustang, and I am learning as I go, thank god I have my grandpa helping me.

R&P = Rack and Pinion. There are a number of companies that offer kits to convert to this "modern" type of steering setup. From what I have seen though none of the kits are a clear winner when you start to analyze them.
Best thing you can do is put a new Flaming River steering box in there and replace the front suspension (upgrade to the V8 parts while you are at it). Build the car up to V8 specs and dial it all in and then make the final leap to the V8 transplant.

Thank you so much, I think that is the path I will take. My next step, once of have the money of course, hopefully in the next few months. Will be to buy the new engine, where can I find a rebuilt 289 (hopefully a High Performance) and how much will it cost me?

I too have dumped the PS from my coupe. They are a terrible design, not very useful, expensive to fix and will STILL leak no matter what you do to them. If you want PS then definitely try to go with a rack and pinion setup. Hopefully there'll be one on the market that actually fits right by the time you're ready to buy.
