New Graphics for the Clone?

For reference, here's the existing side graphic. View 1 * View 2
I really didn't mean to hijack VintageMustang302's lowering post, so I'll start a new one to talk about this...
Who has other ideas or suggestions?
Just considering a freshening at this point...
I'm NOT doing a repaint, so the Lemans stripes are staying on the car... :nono: And I do realize that this is one more step away from the who "clone" theme - which is OK by me... *EDIT
Just an added note - the coloring is pretty light on the example above - I'd match the existing blue/teal colored stripes. Also, the side-exit exhaust is shadowed in the above photo - it does add another focal point toward the back of the rocker panel....
I do like the new idea; but I don't know that it's heavy enough... Know what I mean? That blue rocker stripes adds some much-needed weight to such a light-colored car. I wonder if there's some other "fade" or "motion" graphic that keeps things grounded a little more. Hmmm...
Not too bad, but the first thing I thought of was "Saleen"... maybe it's just me.
What if you started the stripe with slightly larger blocks near the front wheelwell, and got progressively smaller but took more distance to fade out... like into the door itself?

how about introducing another color here somehow? always liked the way that r/w/b pony looked on your windshield in those photos.
not liking the 'cobra' wording though ...

Checkers:

Do the pony either as a red/blue outline, a pony cut from a flag, or maybe a blue body with red flames???

I like the first idea because it's different, but I do agree that something with a little more weight would be bettter. I like the angle of the graphic and how it mirrors the back angle of the character dent in the 1/4 and the fastback window line. I also personally shy away from the cobra moniker, but it's not too bad.
I've always felt that if you're going to have stripes, have them all away. The fade is a cool idea, but it just doesn't quite work, again IMO. I have however, seen ghost shelby rocker stripes that were impressive. Obviously that wouldn't be a good fit for your car though.
Skorch's idea of: "What if you started the stripe with slightly larger blocks near the front wheelwell, and got progressively smaller but took more distance to fade out... like into the door itself?" sounds good. I'd like to take a crack at that one in photochop.

how about blending the existing stripes with a cuda style laser stripe, actually i guess that was kinda what Skorch was trying to say.if you do a fade try starting it from the other end.
i also kind of like Jay's idea, but i think i would reverse the colors.
blake can you email your pics too me, for some reason i'm not able to view them and i would really like to see your ideas.

tinker with your first idea.....try slanting the stripes to the rear?
While the "letters" are elegant and clean, do they really reflect "cobra"?
Perhaps something a tad bit bolder.
A checker flag, or stripes, reverse fade ending with "Cobra" at the rear?
A reverse fade would suggest an abrupt stop to the motion. Brings your eye from the front wheel opening straight back. (kinda snap shot, stop motion, second look thing)
A reverse fade is a break from the conventional.
The "running pony" theme obviously couldnt be reversed faded. edit: the "pony" itself shouldn't be reverse faded.
