I am the proud new owner of a 67 coupe. I bought it though with the intention of my dad and taking out the 6 cylinder engine in it and dropping in a 289. Where would I buy a 289, I have no idea. And on a side note, we are fixing the muffler, and none of the auto parts places have it, they said they can order it, but where can I go buy one...any suggestions?

 

Muffler?......um Muffler shop? Summit sells them and most any parts store will carry some. Depends on what specifically you're looking for.

So, you have the V8 suspension to put in with that 289? The 6 to 8 swap isn't as easy as just changing engines. The suspension, as well as the transmission, is different between the 2 cars so be sure you have everything you need before you start. It'll make it MUCH easier.
