I just picked up a 1968 Mustang, V6 with a 3 speed manual transmission. Does anyone know where I can find out some good info about this car (e.g. how many were made, specifications etc.) Also what is the deal with codes? I've read on for sale Ads C code, J code etc. Any info is great. Thanks

u mean Inline 6 i dont think they made a V6 back then...the codes refer to the engine size whether its a 200, 289, 302, 390 or a 428. The best advice i could give to u would find classic mustang books and read up on it...or u can use this very own site to help u out...just click the link below

If its a 68, then it is probably a 200 CI. Prior to that there were a few 170 ci in 65, 66 and some in 67. The 200 is a strong engine and almost bullet proof. Should be setting about 120 horspower, but lots on the market to up that.

Submit your VIN # to http://www.martiauto.com/ and choose what level of report you want.
