Ok i had a bad fuel pump changed that and all new fuel lines. Now car started and ran with choke for about 2 min and i nocked choke off. Now since i did that car will not fire up all spark plugs, cap, roder, and points look fire. Coil is brand new also. Could it possibly be a miss tune due to lack of fuel and all from bad pump for yrs.

 

so it does fire up? Correct....just not firing on all cylinders? Is it back firing or does it seem like its not getting enough fuel?

 

It dosent fire no more. It sputters like it wants to but just wont fire.

 

I just tried now to start it. I turn on electric choke for little then boom it fires but once it runs the fuel thats in bowls it dies.

 

Ok so you can see the bowls run to empty? Possibly stuck floats, timing got thrown off, maybe even something got picked up from a dirty tank and only gets enough fuel when it's revving and pushing more fuel. Check air fuel ratio also. Just Continue that check list

 

Yea I would look to see if the carb/floats/needle and seat are gummed up

 

Ye i was gunna pull carb apart and see possible causes.
