caught this one in time
Every Mustang deserves its day in the sun – especially one with ties to a rock legend like Bob Seger.
The 1965 Fastback, owned by Dave and Kaye Persell, was recently featured on an episode of the national cable show “Americarna,” which airs on the Velocity channel. The program’s hosted by three-time NASCAR racing champion Ray Evernham.
As the story goes, Seger first bought the car in San Jose, CA.
“He bought it new,” said Dave, who’s been collecting cars with his wife for 30 years. “He was on the way to a concert in San Francisco. From what we’ve been told it was the first car he ever bought new.”
However, Dave also seems to be keeping it all in perspective.
“You don’t have to be a big shot to own one of these older cars,” he said. “These are affordable and people can relate to them.”
and thats the whole story
