I found a '68 Fastback 428 Cobra in Alabama that I am seriously considering buying. The car has been recently restored (about 100 miles ago) from top to bottom. Here are the specs that I have:

ceramic headers
new upgraded exhaust system
pgraded dash gauge package
new paint, interior
new suspension

I can send pictures if anyone needs to see. The car looks in perfect condition from what I can see in the pictures. The price I was quoted was $29,000. As this is the first time I'm really buying a Mustang, I don't know what kind of deal this is. If anyone has any opinions or advice on it, I'd appreciate it. Thanks.

Also, how much would shipping be from Alabama to Pennsylvania? Not an exact quote, but just a ballpark if anyone has any experience in this department.

Plenty of Alabama guys on here that would probably be willing to look it over. Your description does not do enough for me to offer any opinion on value. Also, you can attach photos here.

You're probably looking at around $1000+ to ship it.

If you're serious about the car then PM one of us Alabama guys and maybe we can check it out for you. I definitely wouldn't shell out that kind of $$$$ without having it checked by someone impartial and who knows what they're looking for.

The car was actually sold last night, so it is no longer available. If anyone on here hears anything about another 67 or 68 fastback available, email me at rob.nydick@villanova.edu. LMan, I guess I was looking to spend between $10 and $20 on a car that needed a little work and that I could do some minor restorations on, but I wouldn't have a problem with spending the $30 for a car that is completely done and close to show quality.

LMan, I saw that car but I don't know if that is beyond my ability to restore. This is the first one of these that I am doing and don't have extensive knowledge on restoring cars. It's also an automatic, and I don't know how difficult it would be to change it a manual transmission. Thanks for looking out though. Much appreciated.
