In my 1966 Mustang I have a 200 6 and was wondering if there is anything to do to give it more horsepower or increase performance. I have been looking and cant find a thing to do I was just wondering if yall knew of anything that I did not.

Well, you definately can do a few things, which are chronicled here:

The problem is that there are a few issues (most notably the integral intake manifold/head) that are weaknesses in the design. The other problem is that hot rod parts are generally very expensive for the 200ci.

One idea would be to get some lower gears in the rear end. Your top speed would go down a bit, but you'd jump off the line alot better, and the seat-of-the-pants feel would be a big improvement.

I've owned a 6 cyl coupe before myself, and my advice would be to either enjoy your 6 for what it is; a stylish cruiser, or sell it and get a V8 car if performance is a priority.

Thanks for all the help one more question... how much of a difference will it make if I put in an electronic ingnition. It says all that it can do but is it worth the money?

easier maintenance. You wont really notice much of a power gain at your level. Personally if your points are up to snuff I wouldnt worry about it.
