Matching emblems

So as everyone knows, the 65 did not come with the 302..but mine has a 302 dropped in it. Would it be advisable to leave the 289 badges on it or upgrade to 302 and match the motor. I have the original 289 parts. It's not the original color, or wheels so I don't see why it would be too far out of line to change to motor matching emblems.

They do make them in the original '65 design for 302. I don't think spectators will care. I would do it

Or throw on the straight 6 badgeing like they did in 60's to confuse the other guy raceing. Be kinda neat.

Haha most people I can race in my town drive Hondas and Acura integras, I think they are already confused by 289 and 302.

I don't think so. I guess size is relevant to where the badge goes. If I put it where they do now, it would look nice.

For a 65-66 I wouldn't put the new 5.0 emblems on. The car is too flat and doesn't have enough curves to go with the emblem in my opinion. I would stick to the old 302 emblems

Good point. The new emblems do look best on curvy cars. I've seen them on a fox and it just stuck out, didn't flow well.
