Just imagine how cars are still out there, that no one knows of, and haven't been photographed.

A friend's father passed away recently, and her husband mentioned he had two cars most people didn't know about, one was a 62 vet, and the other was a 69 or 70 Chevelle SS454 4-spd car (w/2?K miles on it) that he bought brand new. Neither car has been moved since the mid-80s. I just want to see these cars.

You gotta go and liberate that SS454 Chevelle. GM or not, that is a hot car!

12 years ago I found a 66 Tbird next to a 67 mustang fastback in a cow field. I picked up the complete but sitting with its windows down for 15 years tbird for 200.00.

I almost got the stripped mustang for the same price. It was basicly just a unibody that someone had stomped the roof in on.

Years later i found some info about the mustang, it had a double stamped vin number on the inner fender, an K code and a K code i think ( it had bothe a big block and small block vin factory stamped)...Suposedly this means the car was one of 470ish hi-po double stamped fastbacks.

Anyone here know if this was a true fact?

This thread has inspired me to make the drive and see if that fastback is still there. If so, I'll snap a pic and maybe make an offer.

The tbird is under cover now cleaned up some and in storage. I'll get to the point soobner or later where I can afford to resserect her.

Bob

Honestly that makes me angry. All these cars are doing is rusting and the guy has the guts to take pictures and show people. Makes me sick. My favorite Mustang ever is the Boss 302 and it looked better than most of the cars there but still I can't stand to see any cars (Except Chevy) rust away. I wish I had enough to restore one

I just don't feel that way about Chevrolets. I know some of the Corvette owners can be snobby and there's supposed to be this rivalry between us - but I like an old Camaro and Chevelle as much as a Fairlane and Galaxy! A muscle car is a muscle car. This hatred of "the other guys" seems silly...
