Hey I recently purchased a 1968 mustang and I thought it would be cool if I could do a GT/CS restoraition on it well anyway I could not really find all of the parts for the backend of the car I tried yearone and mustangs unlimited but the way they listed things just got me confused, if you have any informaition on where i could get these parts it would help a lot. I am not going to pass it off as a real California special I would just like a little more style for my 68.

Also I have another question in yearone they offer a 392 stroker kit for 351w they come with hyperuetectic pistons bored 3 over my windsor has allready been rebuilt so i was wonering do you thing that you could get the kit with the pistions bored 6 over and if not how much do you think it would cost to buy the pistons seperatly?

Any informaiton on any of my questions would be well appreciated.
thanks

Essentially a California Special is little more than a coupe dressed up as a Shelby. All the special items aside for badging that make it a CS are the ducktail, tail lights, side scoops etc.... and they are all Shelby parts.

Correction, Tony Branda has all the parts listed on their website, but as some of us have recently found out, that does not mean they have them in stock, or even plan too and can deliver them anytime soon.

For anything California Special related go to www.californiaspecial.com and talk to those guys. They are all a real friendly bunch and will help you with anything they can. I've had my GT/CS for about 4 years and have been on that site for about 7. They have a great deal of knowledge in that area.
