I just bought a blower for my '68! :D

I just bought a B&M 174 blower for my mustang! It is used but fresh rebuilt and I only paid $1000 it has the 10 rib pulley set up which is ideal and it comes with a gauge and belt as well. They never made blower for a 351 so I'm going to need to get an intake spacer from price motor sports. I have cast pistons now so I'm looking to run about 6 pounds of boost. I was planning on buying a 427 short block from PAW but since they no longer sell ford parts this will have to do. Anyone run a B&M/Weiand 144/174 before? Know anything about them? Anyhow I'm really stoked about this and just wanted to share

So about these intake manifold adapters I need to buy I have to choose whether to buy the stock port style or aftermarket port style. I still have iron heads on my Windsor but I plan on getting aluminum heads down the road and don't want to have to dish out an extra $300 for new plates when I get my heads. So what I'm going to do is order the tall port aftermarket style head adapter plates and then port that extra 1/8th of an inch out of my cast heads to hold me over until I get the cash. I'm nervous about it though this will be my first port job.

Edit- join date 2009 and you made your first post on my thread!? I feel special!

I know these are low profile blowers but I'm hoping with the spacers I'm getting I will be able to get a portion of the snout out of the hood, if not I'm going to need some new hood suggestions. Cowl hoods are out of the question, I always thought it would be sacrilegious to put a cowl hood on a ford.
