How to remove paint scale from floor

Just wanted to see what the DIYers use to get the scale and old paint off the metal. Wire brush? Sander? If so what grit? Thanks in advance

i think the most common thing is one of those little 90 degree hand grinders with 2 inch scotch brite pads .. but i personally dont remove old paint if it`s good .. just fix the bad places ..

Thanks would you recommend replacing the front rails when removing the floor pans or just cut around them if possible? Could I just cut the rot out the grind down the old welds to preserve the rails and seat boxes? Thanks again
