GT350 clone howd u mt. battery?
Thanks, and WELCOME to the forum!!!
I'm just using the Summit trunk mount battery kit. The battery sits inside a plastic box, like used on marine applications. There's a metal "H-bar" that goes across the top of the battery, and I notched the sides of the plastic case to run J-bolts from that "H-bar" down thru 2 holes in the trunk floor for a solid hold-down.
If I were starting from scratch today - Delta Bay Mustang makes a really slick aluminum battery holdown that mounts an Optima battery. The Optima's are nice - they are 100% sealed, so there's no battery gasses or acids to worry about, and that billet mount is REALLY slick...
The positive cable runs up to the front of the car, carefully routed thru the interior, and wrapped where there's ANY chance of abrasion. For the ground cable, I ran it to one "leg" of a battery cutout switch, the used the other leg of that switch as a mounting point for the switch itself. When you turn the switch off, the entire car goes dead (nice for working on stuff), and the switch itself is hidden inside a locked trunk...

Here's how I did mine. I had the billet mount that was linked, but didn't like how close the metal was to the (+) terminal. With the battery cable on the battery the terminal was almost touching the top cross piece of the billet mount. I actually shorted the (+) terminal to the cross piece when I was tightening my cable end with an allen wrench. dropped the wrench and it touched both.....ZAP! I bought my billet mount from Speedway Motors Here are some pics of mine (the aluminum battery box is for storage, but may be another option for you. Got it from Summit)

Another supplier of Optima mounts... been using this setup from Attebury Street Rods for 2 years now. At the time they were the most economical for the Optima mounts. It's a nice piece (looks like the Delta Bay is somewhat of a knockoff).
