I've been lurking for awile but today seemed like a good day to post up.
I have a tough choice to make very soon as well. restomod my 67 coupe or buy that 05 gt vert.
I love my 67 and the payments of the very put into her would soon give me a VERY nice driver. On the other hand...a brans new 05 gt vert...stuff dreams are made of...

After reading about the "recalled Ford engines" recently, I wouldnt touch an 05 with a 10-foot cattle prod. Smart $ says wait for the 06 or 07.....

That's a tough one.
I can certainly see the appeal of having both the classic and the latemodel. That said, I'm in the process of selling my latemodel, and the classic is never getting sold. However, if I could afford an 05 (assuming that I could also keep the classic) I'd buy it. These new Mustangs are only going to be new once. After putting any free cash on the new one, the classic will still be there to get restomodded.
If the decision means that you'd have to sell the 67 to afford the 05, I'd keep the classic and wait for a nice affordable used 05 for a driver in a few years.
