Were the fog lights an option on all the 1965 Mustangs? Or just the GT?

someone will respond soon .. i think it was a GT thing only but i do believe i have seen GT`s without them .. would ordering a GT get you the hi-po 289 the dual exhaust out the rear valance and the pony interior .. iv`e heard of some with the "pony" option .. so one could probably have gotten one any way they wished back then

fog lamps were standard on the GT's - not available as a RPO and most likely non-gt's received them only as a dealer item.

the K code hipo 289 was an option for the GT and the only engine requirement was the A code 289 4v.

you would get the exhaust mentioned, but the pony interior would have been an option. (though if you went to a show you owuld swear every gt came with SS wheels and pony interior just like youd think every shelby came with the stripes and crager wheels)

compared to today - there was a flexibility we dont have today - but it mainly was with exerior colors. you couldnt do as much as some people think.
