fog light question for '65 Mustang GT

Hi,

I just bought a '65 Mustang GT convertible which seems to be in great overall shape but has one or two flaws that I'd like to fix as soon as possible - one being that the fog lights do not work anymore.

It seems that one of them was disconnected and that I've blown the fuse when switching them on - the second one came on briefly but now is also dead and there is no power on the connectors anymore.

It does not look like there's a specific fuse for the fog lights in the regular fuse box and all other electrical components seem to be working fine.

Can anyone point me to where to look for a special fuse for the fog lights?

Thanks very much,

Andreas

Congrats! Let's have some pics!

I don't know about fog lights since mine does't have any. But, I do know that the head lights have an circuit breaker in the headlight switch. If it overheats then the light will go off, and then come back on later after they have cooled off!

I'm not sure if this applies to the fog lights?

Here are some pics :-)

Still haven't found the time to track down the issue with the fog lights, so any hint would still be very welcome.

Thanks,

Andreas

there should be a separate circuit breaker for the foglites. it 'should' be mounted on the wiper motor under the dash. trace the wires from the switch. check both bulbs with an ohmmeter.
