What ya think??
I have '02 black leather power seats with rear seats matched up in vinyl, door panels matched up as well and the custom console looks amazing.

Yes sort of. I took Ronnie's custom console which is in a long version and made it for a shorty. I have a friend at work what is way better at woodworker than I am, make it for me.

I had both a real shorty console and a humpbugger. Neither was what I was looking for for various reasons. I tried with this one to bring some of the old original parts with a splash of newer stuff. I am waiting for my 6 gauge cluster and glove box door to arrive and attach my custom rally pac. I really like how everything is coming together.

BTW, I love the 3 point harness you did. What size seat belts did you choose?

I decided to go with THESE. I don't know what length they are but if they need to be shorten then I will have them shortened. For the price, I can't beat them.

Nice work Danno. Are you going to hookup the power, or use them manually?
Is height a problem?

I will be adding power to the driver's seat and the rear lights. There is no height issues. You can buy new shorten pans, but I won't be.

I really like those seats. Nice, comfy looking and understated. Look like they came from the factory fitted to your car.

Well done!

That looks great! Very, very similar to my console plans. Cool to see it made.

What is the metal-looking dial on the side of the console? I see the culp holders, but at the back, there is a metal disk on the side. What's that?

Can I ask what you didn't like about the Humphugger? I am thinking about getting a saddle to go over my factory console for protection/more storage.

Thanks!

They are the rear lights. I wanted to tie it into the rest of the car. I am in the process of putting in some sound deadener and carpet over the next couple weeks. The upholestry shop still needs to correct the rear seat but I was promised it would be done by the time I get off work this morning.

I had both the humphugger and the shorty console. I did not like how the humphugger was all poofy and the quality of the vinyl was not to my liking. The shorty console was a daily driver version and since my car was being completely restored, it did not look as nice either.

OOOOH! I see now. Nice, nice, nice. Still, wouldn't it be covered by the side of the seat?

All you people with carpentry skills make me feel bad about myself.!

I assume that you're going with a black interior for the rest of the car... but this is kinda a question to everyone....

What do you do about other interior colors? I'm using the medium blue color for my interior, which I really like... and would LOVE one of those kinda consoles... to make one at least.. but I dunno what I'd cover it in...How easy is it to find vinyl that would match the color of say the vinyl on my seats?

I'm having my seats custom done in tan so I'm waiting to see what the sample is going to look like then having my paint matched to it.

Rich, call TMI. I'm pretty I heard that you can buy bulk vinyl from them to match.

That looks really good. I especially like the console. I am still threatenig to make mine. With my darn 6 speed sifter coming up where it does it makes it difficult. I think Blake and I are on the same tie table

I am having two tone interior. Black and the charcoal seen. You can either contact an upholestry shop and bring your colorswatch with you or contact TMI.
