well it's up to one bid an hour, and about 500 bucks a bid (average) with a 10 day auction i'd say around $165,978.51.

 

Dunno...low 120's, maybe less? I just don't see it getting more than that unless a bidding war erupts between two wealthy guys who really dig its styling. Some of the Rad Rides projects turn out really well, but this one, not so much IMO. I'm not a fan of huge rims on classics anyway, and this is why. When you go too big, the car ends up looking like a cheesy caricature. And what's with the '85 Tempo rack and pinion steering? On a car demanding these prices, c'mon.

 

It will exceed $200k... might break $300k with the right competition. Don't discount this car's history. Also, the publicity the buyer would get increases the value ten fold.

Question is... is it a tax writeoff???

It's well done, but no way it brings $200k. What history? It was a one-off promotion car.

 

Exactly. That had an entire television series devoted to it. Built by the 2 biggest names in street rodding. Heck, this generation is going to know Foose better than Shelby as it's going... atleast he is on TV every week (sometimes on several different shows).

If it's near $100k I'd consider a mortgage ... it would fetch more than that at BJ. An E-car from Unique gets more than that and they are building them nonstop. There is only one of these.

Somehow I think you'd see it differently if it was the only Emberglo '66 with a factory 390 and gold interior ... you'd be the Dairy King then

I suppose it will bring what other Foose creations bring. Do they bring $200k-$300k? I don't know...I sure wouldn't pay it. And it has nothing to do with personal preferences. I've seen the FFF and it's very well done. But it doesn't command the same kind of money that a 1965 Shelby GT350R with racing heritage demands.

The Es are stupid priced, but they DO carry the Man's name, for whatever that's worth.

That would all depend on the buyer. Not everyone cares about it's "racing heritage". Some people look more at the builder, quality, options, creativity, etc.
I agree that it will go around $200k.

We are currently trying to build a FFF-esque 'vert in the virtual build and even at $60k budget (WITHOUT LABOR COSTS) I'm dropping plenty of the parts/technology that Troy put in that car.

Hot Rod / Street Rod world has legends just like Racing does.

For the prices you guys are throwing out you could buy several concours Shelby Mustangs. You could fill up your garage with a few Boss 302/429's. You could buy a small house.

It is a rare car (one of a kind, now), and these days restomods are getting some serious money. It used to be the case that Restomods never sell for the sum of their parts, but that's not necessarily the case anymore. That, and many would consider this a step above restomod and call this a street rod. That being the case, I'd point you to the Ring brother's car that sold for $100,001.
