Dual Exhaust?
Hello All,
I already want to start adding to my new 65 Mustang.
Does anyone make a complete dual exhaust kit (headers included) for a 65 convertible with a 289?
I see a lot of pieces, but no complete kit.
My car has 2 into 1 exhaust now....can I even put dual exhaust on it?
Any opinions on the best sound for the 65's?
I know it's not the same car, but I am looking for that Fox body sound you get with Flowmasters.
Thank you all

That sounds pretty stupid. I don't see why it wouldnt, since the frame and all the underbody is the same. At the absolute worst you would need to make adjustments to the system, and any basic muffler shop can do that.
yeah...it doesnt make sense to me...I'd say just buy the headers and mufflers you want...(maybe X or H pipe) and have an exhaust shop bend the tubing and do the welding when they do the install.
your best bet would be a "good old boy" shop where the owner does most of the work. They probably would do a really good job for you becuase they will appreciate your repeat business....on the other hand...Midas or some place big may be a good idea becuase they will (should) have a good insurance policy if anything goes wrong.
It sounds stupid as I can't buy the folding trunk organizer , it won't fit in a vert WRONG it does TMS'r have them , but there are differnt thingy's on vert's than coups for strenght and such re-enforcing the body stronger firewall , behind the rear seat are two I know of ?
The way I see it...you are going to have to go to some kind of shop to have this stuff installed....unless you are really talented with heat tools....so get your headers, mufflers, and tips and have them bend you some pipe for you. It shouldnt be hard for them to do it.
