West Coast Customs did one with a GTO, id imagine it was expensive.. they took a new model gto, front end damage and droped an older body on top.

I'm a newbie so the language you guys are speaking is flying right over my head in regards to the suspension and what not. Again I would not be looking to sell the 66' for greener pastures.. I'd just have it as a dream car, something to have for my everyday.

There are way too many variables to make a blanket statement like that. A GT or K-code (or both!) '66 coupe, for example, would be worth a good bit. A '66 I6 coupe would indeed be worth relatively little. Frankly, I think this would be a terrible project for an inexperienced builder to tackle.

Ok so what do you want in it? Nice ride, power, handling, and interior convenience accessories? You want an old car look but modern performance and convenience correct?

I think that one took even more work than the sn65. That one looks crazy, tons of metal fab

That was my previous thought but after seeing the cost I am now talking about a 66' mustang 100% with the handling of a modern mustang. When I drive it on the freeway I just want it to handle and be smooth and ride the bumps nicely and sway and do all the things the modern mustangs can do.. Without the classic being a rough ride.. If I re did the suspension shocks and whatever else couldn't handle and perform as good if not better than the new mustangs at a fraction of the cost of dropping the shell of a classic on the body of a new mustang.. Hope that's clear enough

Yes you should do coilovers up front with a nice sway bar, maybe rack and pinion if you feel like, and do a 4 link rear suspension with coilovers. Look up totalcontrolproducts.com
