Holy SH** that thing is Wild!!!! I've never seen anything like it!

I think everything on that car is really trick except for the front end... Something just doesn't seem right about it. It's the headlights and the lack of a bumper, I think. I also don't like that red "R" on there. That's a bit Ricey, even though this car would SMOKE on a track and deserves a race designation.

I really like it! I'd love to see it with the hood down to see how the headlights really look. I like the door handles, too. From the PT Cruiser, I think.

 

I like that car as well, just get rid of that R in the grill.

Gives me a few ideas of my own....

 

Hey I was there today, that's an awesome shot also. Althought today the entire lot was full and I had to be drug away. Anywho, I found a red 90 just like mine except this car was never dealer prepped, had all the stickers on the windows, plastic on the seats, and the nifitiest part was the original oil & oil filter are still on the car and it has 73 miles. It's quite awesome. On a side note I may go back tomorrow and take more pictures.

 

It looks like the hood was fitted with '67 style louvers. A LOT of really nice workmanship on that car. Like someone else, I think the extending the headlamps out at the bottom detracts from the rest of the car. Question, With back-up lights in the tail light panel, what are the oval lights to either side of the rear license plate for?? :scratch:

Cool...I like the stripe on the valve covers.

But, the headlight treatment just doesn't look right, too me.

I must admit the workmanship and creativity is there, but it is not something I would buy/build.

 

I was there yesterday also. The car blew me away. I didn't like everything about it, but wouldn't it be boring if we all liked the same things? I agree about the headlights. They were as big as dinner plates! The craftsmanship was incredible, though. Here's a shot I got of the hood, since some one mentioned it. More than just '67 style louvers... :shock:

 

I have many more photos of that show that might be of interest to y'all, but I don't know how to post multiple pics like Brad did when he started this thread. I searched Help and Search areas with no luck. Is this something that only moderators can do? Do I need to send the images to someone else to get them posted? Just wondering...

 

That is a really sweet mod. I just hope he started out with something that was totalled or was a rust bucket. I would really hate to have a primo rust-free AZ car have something like that done to it.

 

i wonder if it was built by those guys that did the red vert that gaot all the coverage in the mags, it has a lot of the ques they used, like the PT door handles the side "gills" the headlights, etc. one thing that really stood out to me was what they did with the cowl, i'm sure it is only to feed cool air to the motor but i wonder if it will still feed the interior with ambient air as well.

 

No doubt it was built by the same shop that did the red 'vert that was at Carlisle etc. The console is nearly identical, especially the arm rest.

I would not call this a restomod though, unless it's a transformer that changes into a rust colored convertible when you close the glovebox

 

Lots of good work put into that car but the headlights kinda creep me out.

 

Hey everyone, this is my first post.

The car is made by the same guys, the Ring brothers, who made the red convertible. I was just looking back at an old Mustang and Fords magazine that featured the red convertible and it said that they had a "pristine" 65 fastback (sorry Spooty, no rust bucket here), and that Roush Racing met with the brothers to build a classic Mustang to show off its new street-rod motors. If they were going to mod it that much that could have at least started with a junker .

 

i didnt like that car the 65 isnt a real muscle body and they made it look like a cartoon

The car is awesome. Especially the interior. Excellent craftsmanship. The headlights gotta go though. Too dopey looking. Also, the door handles look like they were thrown on as an afterthought.

Otherwise, that car is awesome!!!!
